These are 3rd party plugins. Ableton Suit includes a number of inbuilt instruments and samplers. When installing VST plugins there are typically 3 things to manage: - The main files and folder which will be documents and program files. The VST plugin file (This is the plugin you can place in a convenient location for music software to access). Most installers for VSTs will ask you for a folder for the application, and a folder for the VSTs themselves. Personally I have d: VSTs x86 and d: VSTs x64 folders for 32bit and 64bit VSTs respectively. Then, in Acid Music Studio, go to view - plugin manager; in the plugin manager window, on its toolbar, click the right-most icon 'configure VST'. That shouldn't be true. The only VST's that need to be loose in the root VST folder are.all. Native Instruments ones. Any third party plugins can be set up in a folder hierarchy within the VST root folder. A) Computer C DRIVE PROGRAM FILES VST PLUGINS b) Computer C DRIVE PROGRAM FILES (x86) VST PLUGINS 3) There is also confusion in the PROGRAM FILES (x86) as there is a STEINBERG folder where some of my plugins automatically file themselves under. This is confusing to me. Go to your DAWs settings window (sometimes called 'Preferences' or 'Options') and look for the 'Plug-ins' section. Search for 'Plug-in Path' / 'Plug-in folder' or sometimes 'VST folder' and insert the path you used while installing your Plug-ins. This shows the software where you decided to put your Plug-ins.
